EASLEY, SC – February 12, 2023 – GEOGRAPH Technologies, LLC is proud to announce Nathan Cooley has joined the company in the role of GIS Analyst, working remotely from his home in Illinois.
In his role, Cooley will work within the Professional Services team to help with the management and execution of the company’s client training programs to assist new users in learning the company’s CrescentLink software. Cooley will report to DJ Henrique, GEOGRAPH Co-Founder and Director of Professional Services.
Cooley previously worked with a Chicago area construction company helping to create their GIS department. There he created system workflows for project work and educated the team on Esri geospatial software. Cooley has additional experience working with GIS databases and fiber optic telecommunications technology. He has a total of 10 years experience working with Esri software and 8 years experience using GEOGRAPH’s CrescentLink software. Cooley also teaches Forensic Anthropology part-time at Joliet Junior College and Harper College, both in Illinois.
Cooley is looking forward to working with GEOGRAPH to help new clients learn the company’s software and best-case uses to meet their specific GIS needs. He stated; “I enjoy interacting with all levels of professionals and do my best to avoid being static. I love the live, one-on-one feedback from teaching and find it extremely rewarding when students grasp a new process. It is great when they are able to go back to their office that same week and take what they learned to create GIS maps and reports on their own.”
Cooley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, and a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL He holds a graduate certificate in GIS. Cooley lives in Illinois with his wife, Erin, and their two children. In his spare time, he enjoys running and has completed marathons in both Chicago and Houston.
