Sept 12, 2022
The event began on Monday the 12th of September with a welcome reception held outdoors at the hotel. This was followed by two full days of meetings where GEOGRAPH staff and customers shared info about all things GIS and fiber related.
GEOGRAPH held the 3rd Annual User Group Conference this year at the SpringHill Suites in Greenville, SC. There were a total of 80 attendees, including 16 GEOGRAPH staff and 64 customers, coming from 35 companies and 18 states.
Bruce Smith, GEOGRAPH CEO opened the conference to welcome everyone and to celebrate the opportunity for everyone to be together in person. He then shared an overview of a current GEOGRAPH network planning and design project for Up Country Fiber which highlighted one way in which the company is helping to close the digital divide.
Other GEOGRAPH team members provided updates on company activities or conducted training workshops on our popular CrescentLink Version 6.0 for Desktop and Web Experience software. In addition, Garth Vaagene from NCC, Chris Latham from Futura, and David Anderson from FiberRise all presented case studies on how they are using CrescentLink to map and manage their fiber networks.
The conference concluded in the afternoon of the second day with a strategy roundtable discussion where attendees shared their ideas and inspirations for future GEOGRAPH products and services.
Ann Hollins of Events Outlined helped coordinate hotel and registration activities, Amy Randall from Amy Randall Photography took amazing photos, and Matt Morgan from GVL Media was our videographer. Many thanks for their exceptional help in making our event a success.
Before closing the event, Bruce Smith thanked everyone for attending and invited all for a repeat performance, same time next year.
