Terms of use

These terms cover your use of the GEOGRAPH website and the online resources that come with it. If you're a CrescentLink customer, your software license is covered by a separate agreement, and that agreement comes first.

The short version

These terms cover the website

Browsing geograph.tech, downloading resources, watching demos, using the support portal, and signing up for Academy courses and webinars.

Your software license lives elsewhere

CrescentLink is licensed under a separate customer agreement. If the two ever conflict, the customer agreement wins.

Use the site the way it's meant to be used

Don't try to break it, get around gated content, or repost our resources as your own.

Our content is ours

GEOGRAPH and CrescentLink are our trademarks. Esri and ArcGIS belong to Esri. Use our resources inside your organization freely.

This summary is for convenience. The full terms below are what apply.

1About these terms

These terms of use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and GEOGRAPH Technologies, LLC ("GEOGRAPH," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 309 E Main St, Pickens, SC 29671. They apply to geograph.tech, our customer support portal at support.geograph.tech, GEOGRAPH Academy, our webinars, and the resources we make available through them (together, the "Site").

By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. If you're using the Site on behalf of an organization, you confirm you're authorized to accept these Terms for it.

2Who can use the site

The Site is intended for business use by people who are at least 18 years old. You may not use the Site if you're barred from doing so under U.S. law, including the export rules in section 15.

3CrescentLink and customer agreements

CrescentLink and its components, including CrescentLink for ArcGIS Pro and the CrescentLink Web Experience, are licensed to customers under a separate written agreement with GEOGRAPH, such as a license agreement, order form, or statement of work (a "Customer Agreement"). These Terms don't grant any license to CrescentLink.

  • The Customer Agreement controls. If anything in these Terms conflicts with your Customer Agreement, the Customer Agreement wins.
  • Esri software is licensed separately. CrescentLink is an add in for Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise and requires those products to run. Your use of Esri software is governed by your agreements with Esri, not by GEOGRAPH.
  • Pricing on the Site is informational. Any pricing or estimates we publish are general guidance. Your quote and Customer Agreement set your actual pricing, billing, and renewal terms.

4Accounts

Some parts of the Site, like the support portal and GEOGRAPH Academy, require an account. When you create one, you agree to:

  • Give accurate information and keep it current.
  • Keep your login credentials private and not share your account with others.
  • Tell us right away at legal@geograph.tech if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

You're responsible for activity under your account. Your organization's administrator may also manage or remove your access.

5Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or other users' accounts, or probe, scan, or test their vulnerabilities without our written permission.
  • Interfere with the Site's operation, including by overloading it, introducing malware, or using automated tools in a way that burdens our servers.
  • Get around registration forms or other access controls to reach gated content.
  • Submit false information, impersonate someone else, or misrepresent your affiliation with an organization.
  • Use the Site to send spam or to violate any law or anyone else's rights.
  • Copy, frame, or republish substantial parts of the Site, or present our content as your own.

Ordinary search engine indexing and reading our public pages, including by AI assistants and similar tools, is welcome.

6Resources, demos, and training

We offer guides, checklists, demo videos, webinar recordings, and Academy courses. Unless we say otherwise, you can use them inside your organization for evaluating, planning, and operating your network. You may not sell them, redistribute them publicly, or use them to build a competing product or service.

Webinars, Academy courses, and events such as the GEOGRAPH User Conference may come with their own registration terms. Those terms apply alongside these.

7Our content and trademarks

The Site and its content, including text, graphics, videos, software, and design, belong to GEOGRAPH or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We give you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive right to use the Site as described in these Terms. We reserve all other rights.

GEOGRAPH, CrescentLink, and our logos are trademarks of GEOGRAPH Technologies, LLC. Don't use them without our written permission, except to refer to our products accurately. Esri, ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Enterprise are trademarks of Esri. Other trademarks on the Site belong to their respective owners.

8Feedback

We love hearing ideas for improving CrescentLink and the Site. If you send us suggestions or feedback, you give us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty free right to use them without any obligation to you. We won't publicly attribute feedback to you or your organization without your permission.

9Website information

Blog posts, guides, webinars, and other content on the Site are general information about fiber network operations and our products. They aren't engineering, legal, or regulatory advice for your specific network or project, and you should rely on qualified professionals for those decisions.

We work to keep product information accurate, but features, compatibility, and availability change over time. Release notes and your Customer Agreement are the authoritative sources for what CrescentLink does.

10Third party sites and services

The Site links to and embeds content from third parties, including Esri, YouTube, Zoom, and social media platforms. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

11Disclaimer of warranties

Warranties for CrescentLink, if any, are set out only in your Customer Agreement.

12Limitation of liability

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. This section doesn't change the liability terms in your Customer Agreement, which govern claims about CrescentLink and related services.

13Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access to all or part of the Site, including your accounts, if you violate these Terms or if we need to protect the Site, our customers, or others. We may also change or discontinue parts of the Site at any time. Sections 7 through 12, 14, and 16 continue to apply after your access ends. Ending access to the Site doesn't by itself affect your Customer Agreement.

14Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If we can't, any dispute related to these Terms or the Site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pickens County, South Carolina, and you and GEOGRAPH consent to those courts' jurisdiction.

If you're a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you also keep any protections given to you by the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

15Government users and export

Our software and documentation are "commercial items" as defined in 48 C.F.R. 2.101, and are provided to U.S. government users only with the rights granted to all other users under our standard terms. Public agencies, including municipal and state organizations, may have procurement requirements that are addressed in their Customer Agreement.

You agree to comply with U.S. export control and sanctions laws. You confirm you're not located in a country subject to a comprehensive U.S. embargo and not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

16General terms

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the full agreement between you and GEOGRAPH about the Site. Your Customer Agreement separately governs CrescentLink and related services.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the extent possible and the rest stays in effect.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce a provision right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours, for example as part of a merger or acquisition.
  • Electronic communications. You agree we may send notices about the Site electronically, and that they satisfy any requirement that a communication be in writing.

17Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time and will revise the "Last updated" date when we do. For significant changes, we'll post a notice on the Site. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept them.
