Important Updates

ArcGIS Pro 3.3 Required

This update leverages the latest advancements in ArcGIS Pro 3.3, which utilizes the .NET 8 framework. By moving to .Net 8 framework in CrescentLink for Pro, we continue to remain optimized for the latest versions of ArcGIS Pro. To ensure compatibility with these enhancements, this update requires both ArcGIS Pro 3.3 and the Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0 to be installed on your machine.

Release Naming

We’re excited to announce a change to our software versioning system, moving from decimal places (like 1.0.6) to whole numbers, starting with Update 7. This shift simplifies version tracking, making it easier to identify updates that bring significant new features and improvements. Our goal is to enhance clarity and transparency, ensuring you stay informed about important changes.

Bug Fixes

1. Vendor and Rate Sheet Issue

  • Fixed Issue: Resolved an issue where applying a Vendor and Rate Sheet in Project Planner could cause the application to freeze.
  • Impact: Users can now apply a vendor and rate sheet without freezing the application.

2. Save As Template Issue

  • Fixed Issue: Fixed an issue where saving an equipment template could cause the application to crash for equipment that had a display.
  • Impact: Users can now save equipment templates for all equipment regardless of display status.

3. Search Tool and Ribbon Problem

  • Fixed Issue: Corrected a problem where users could not add the Search Tool to a customized ribbon.
  • Impact: Users can now add the Search Tool to a custom ribbon.

4. Activate Connector Issue

  • Fixed Issue: Resolved an issue where the Connector menu item was not working in the Splice Analysis Tool.
  • Impact: Users can use the Connector menu item as expected.

5. Ampersand Missing

  • Fixed Issue: Corrected an issue where ampersands would not render in Project Planner text boxes.
  • Impact: Users can now include ampersands in Project Planner text boxes.

6. User-Created Fields Missing

  • Fixed Issue: Resolved a problem where user-created fields in the sdm_Project table would not show up in the Project Planner project options window.
  • Impact: All fields, including user-created fields, now show up in the project options window in Project Planner.

7. Edit Tool Conflict

  • Fixed Issue: Fixed an issue when using ArcGIS Pro Edit Tools some CrescentLink Tools would become disabled.
  • Impact: All CrescentLink functionality now remains available regardless of which ArcGIS Pro tools are being used.

8. Duplicate Issue

  • Fixed Issue: Resolved an issue in Network Manager’s Path Detail window where using Duplicate from the contect menu on a cable produced an error.
  • Impact: Duplicate has been disable for cables in the Network Manager Path Detail.

9. Deleting Conduit Issue

  • Fixed Issue: Corrected a problem where ArcGIS Pro would crash if you attempted to delete a conduit as your first action in Network Manager
  • Impact: Users can now delete conduit and ArcGIS Pro will not crash.

To update CrescentLink for Pro to Update 7, use the Check for Updates tool in the CrescentLink Menu and follow the prompts for updating your app.
