Easley, SC – August 2, 2024 – GEOGRAPH Technologies, LLC is proud to celebrate their 1,500th CrescentLink User with the onboarding of a new customer, Midwest Energy & Communications (MEC), an electric cooperative offering electric, internet, phone, and propane services to areas in Michigan, northern Indiana, and northwest Ohio. GEOGRAPH, a GIS software provider, looks forward to partnering with MEC to launch their fiber network management effort using CrescentLink® for Esri® ArcGIS® Pro.
Both the GEOGRAPH and MEC teams celebrated remotely over a Zoom meeting, where everyone met to commemorate the occasion. Trenton Carlson, GEOGRAPH’s Customer Experience Specialist and account manager for MEC, made the congratulations speech. Trenton Carlson said, “We are excited to work with MEC and look forward to supporting you and your team.”
Earlier this year MEC identified the need for a fiber mapping tool that would be easy to use, yet flexible to suit their growing fiber needs. Additionally, MEC was seeking a network management system that could integrate with the Esri ecosystem, such as GEOGRAPH’s CrescentLink, an add-in for Esri ArcGIS. Stan Lebrun stated, “Once I noticed GEOGRAPH had CrescentLink running on ArcGIS Pro, the decision was a no-brainer.”
GEOGRAPH’s onboarding process for CrescentLink includes customer training and the migration of customer data into the software platform. This process was used with MEC and they did not experience any disruption to existing fiber operations. MEC now has a strong foundation for future fiber network planning and growth. Stan Lebrun stated, “GEOGRAPH was amazing with their training, technical support, and data migration assistance. I love their quick response whenever we had a question and I look forward to continuing the working relationship going forward.”
