GIS Technician
EASLEY, SC – July 25, 2023 – GEOGRAPH Technologies, LLC is proud to announce Joshua Weaver has been promoted to GIS Technician working out of the corporate office on West Main Street in downtown Easley.
In his role, Weaver will continue to work within the Professional Services Team to provide Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data migration support to new clients utilizing the company’s enterprise network management software. Weaver will report to DJ Henrique, GEOGRAPH Co-Founder and Director of Professional Services.
Weaver has been part of the GEOGRAPH team for the past year, working as an intern while attending university. During his time with the company, he assisted with a variety of data enrichment and data conversion projects for new clients. He also created an Esri Story Board for the City of Easley’s Trains on Main, digital scavenger hunt program that encourages visitors to explore the downtown business district area.
In his new role, Weaver hopes to further refine the data enrichment process. He enjoys working with customer data to create an accurate representation of their fiber map using GEOGRAPH software. Weaver also looks forward to working with customers and using his knowledge and experience to meet their business needs. His interest in customer service was inspired by Bruce Smith, GEOGRAPH Co-Founder and CEO, who said “It always helps me learn when I can teach people something.”
Weaver recently earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Economics from the College of Business at Clemson University. He has relocated to the Easley area and in his spare time he enjoys playing golf, fishing on Black River, and watching Atlanta Braves baseball.
