About the job

Our Professional Services team is seeking a GIS Technician. They are often responsible for migrating data from a customer’s existing source into our data model and the GIS technician is responsible for all aspects of managing, editing, converting, creating, documenting, and supporting GIS datasets. The position reports to DJ Henrique, Director of Professional Services and Co-Founder.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Creates, edits, integrates, verifies, and manages geospatial data using GIS, CAD, and other software.
  • Performs data migrations from various external formats into ArcGIS® geodatabases.
  • Assists in database design, advanced GIS analysis, and modeling.
  • Advises clients on best practices for data management including workflows, tools, governance models, and integration patterns.
  • Resolves customer support requests via phone, web conference, and/or Zendesk support portal.
  • Assists with the maintenance of software documentation and procedures.
  • Assists and supports Project Managers in meeting deliverable requirements and deadlines.
  • Supports Project Managers with planning and estimation of projects based on past project retrospectives.
  • Communicates task status, needs, and issues to team members and managers.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to learn telecom infrastructure and the specifics of Geograph software products, improve operations, streamline work processes, organize, adjust to changing priorities, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Associate’s Degree in Related Field.
  • Must have good time management skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Qualifications Preferred, but not required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in managing spatial data in regard to projections and coordinate systems
  • Proficiency in the use of at least one of the following Esri® GIS software packages: ArcGIS® Desktop 10.x, ArcGIS® Pro, ArcGIS® Server 10.x
  • Experience creating, managing, and modifying local and enterprise geodatabases, including:
  • Standalone Tables, Feature, Relationship, Annotation and Dimension classes, Domains and Subtypes, and Geodatabase Versioning in multi-user environments
  • Experience using CrescentLink® software
  • Knowledge of the Telecommunications industry, specifically in network design and/or operation
  • Experience creating, managing, and modifying local and enterprise geodatabases, including:
  • Geometric Networks and Geodatabase Replication
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools like ArcGIS® Model Builder, Python and ArcPy
  • Experience using ArcGIS® Server, ArcGIS® Portal, ArcGIS® Online, ArcGIS® mobile apps

POSITION SUMMARY

The GIS Analyst is responsible for all aspects of managing, editing, converting, creating, documenting, training, and supporting GIS datasets, systems, and applications.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  2. Two or more years of professional experience with GIS systems.
  3. Proficiency with managing spatial data in regards to projections and coordinate systems.
  4. Proficiency in the use of at least one of the following Esri® GIS software platforms: ArcGIS®, Desktop 10.x, ArcGIS® Pro Server 10.x.
  5. Experience creating, managing, and modifying local and enterprise geodatabases, including: standalone tables, feature, relationship, annotation and dimension classes, domains and subtypes, and geodatabase versioning in multi-user environments.

This position is for Customer Experience (CX) Specialist, working as part of the Customer Experience team for a local software and technology company. This person will report directly to the Director of Customer Experience, and will also frequently collaborate with members of the Sales, Development, and Professional Services teams. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong appetite for learning, possess great people skills, be comfortable in critical thinking and problem-solving situations, be a good communicator and have a relationship-focused approach to managing our growing customer base. This person is responsible for the management of their customers, and will serve as their first line of communication with GEOGRAPH. This is a direct-hire, full-time, on-premises position and we are looking to hire immediately.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct management of the customer’s account, ensuring their success with all of the GEOGRAPH offerings.
  • Provide professional after-sales support to enhance the customers’ experience and success.
  • Remain in frequent contact with the clients in your care to understand, and better respond to their needs
  • respond to complaints and resolve issues with the aims of customer satisfaction and preservation of the company’s reputation
  • negotiate renewals and existing customer opportunities, and maintain records of sales and data
  • Travel as needed to trade shows, and customer locations (estimated travel time less than 10%).
  • Work with our Professional Services team to help drive the initial deployment of our software solution(s) and/or services
  • Support the growth of our customer base by actively seeking out and managing customer referrals
  • Proactively drive customer buy-in and retention.
  • Perform quarterly business reviews with each customer to ensure customer buy-in, assess the fit of their software products and/or services, and to make sure you address any new or recurring issues
  • Serve as a trusted resource and partner, helping to craft and propose new, or changing solutions, based on the customers’ needs.
  • Coordinate with the customer and our Accounting department to complete annual billing for software subscriptions, and also intermittent billing for software and/or service additions or changes.
  • Serve as the liaison between our customers and our Professional Services/Development teams, to help with the collection, documentation, and sharing of product enhancement ideas, technology requests, commonly experienced issues or problems, and other current events within the industries we serve.
  • Collaborate with the customers to assist in all aspects of their software licensing and user management.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, partners, customers and potential customers
  • Flexibility, creativity and ability to work in a multi-dimensional, dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated capacities to think “outside the box,” communicate, and motivate customers to adopt the company’s products, programs and new ideas.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in various technology mediums, including the Google Suite of products (Gmail, Google Calendar, Sheets, Docs, etc.) and basic computer hardware technology (desktop computer, iPad, etc.).
  • Keen ability to accurately and completely document events, ideas, conversations, etc.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills, including well-developed presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel for tradeshows, customer visits, and other events outside of the office (estimated travel time less than 10%).
  • Willingness to cross-train in other aspects of the GEOGRAPH company, including customer training, software product support, new B2B sales, software product setup and deployment, and certain aspects within our professional services team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (i.e. Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Computer Science, GIS, Sales Management)
  • Familiarity with the ESRI ArcGIS Suite of products and solutions, and the Hubspot marketing and CRM platform preferred.
  • Previous Account Management, Technical Support, Customer Training, Solutions Architecting, Consultative Sales, B2B Sales, Software Customer Service, Technical Sales (and/or related) experience.


Marketing Assistant

About the Job

As part of our growth plan, we at GEOGRAPH are looking for an innovative and dedicated Marketing Assistant to join our team in Easley, SC.

Working within our marketing team you will help connect GEOGRAPH with our various customer segments in a manner that resonates and educates. You will be involved in a large variety of marketing projects and assist the department as needed, but would have responsibility for trade show planning & execution, social media, and business intelligence.

There is much to do and a large variety of project work to keep you busy. From helping improve our website, assisting with print and digital advertising efforts, ensuring a consistent brand look across all channels, coordinating newsletters, creating blog posts and email campaigns, and launching new products. You will be involved in it all.

The marketing assistant position is a fundamental part of our growing marketing team and you will work closely under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the Director of Marketing.

The Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of the company’s marketing strategy, plan and budget.
  • Conduct research and analyze our target customer industries, their current and emerging market trends and their purchase behaviors to create an updated Marketing Fact File.
  • Plan and manage our trade show plan, conferences, meetings and special events.
  • Create a comprehensive social media calendar and plan to increase awareness for GEOGRAPH across Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter. Create all social media posts with collaboration from the Graphic Designer as needed.
  • Support ongoing website management efforts by updating and creating new content as needed.
  • Support ongoing SEO best practices with implementation techniques.
  • Assist in refining the company’s messaging efforts and keeping abreast of current and new customer needs.
  • Help create and edit copy for various marketing projects.
  • Assist with managing the sales/marketing database within HubSpot to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Help maintain a quality brand experience by ensuring that all content is high quality, aligns with our company strategy and resonates with our target audiences.
  • Assist with monthly marketing metrics measurement and dashboard development.
  • Stay abreast of new marketing technologies, networks and metrics and present new ideas for implementation as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or communications, or significant equivalent experience.

Working within the marketing team you will bring our GEOGRAPH brand to life through a variety of print and digital mediums. We will be looking to you take our brand style guide and develop graphics that tell our brand story while meeting outlined marketing goals and objectives.

There is much to do and a variety of project work to keep you busy. From helping improve our website imagery and design, creating print and digital advertising, updating our social media presence, ensuring a consistent brand look across all channels, to helping with newsletters, blog posts, email campaigns, trade show booth signage, and printed material development —you’ll be involved in it all.

This position is a fundamental part of our growing marketing team and you will work closely under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Create designs and concepts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
  • Translate information about our business and customer needs into designs that are visually enticing, easy to understand and emotionally impactful.
  • Schedule project work and define budget constraints
  • Ability to receive, interpret, and implement constructive feedback from project stakeholders into your design work.
  • Work collaboratively with others in the marketing and sales departments.
